More than 800 people are prosecuted for not staying home

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that citizens are prosecuted for the crime of non-compliance with legitimate decisions of the competent authority, Guayas is the province with the most defendants.

861 people are prosecuted for the crime of non-compliance with legitimate decisions of the competent authority, within the framework of the curfew established by the Government in the face of the coronavirus health emergency.

Through its Twitter account, the Prosecutor’s Office reported that more than 800 people are distributed nationwide, including the Galapagos.

The provinces with the highest number of defendants are: Guayas (305); Manabi (94); Los Ríos (62); Azuay (57); and Sucumbíos (40).
