Eight workers of the Pablo Arturo Suárez Hospital have COVID-19

The Zonal Health Coordination 9 reported that 9,965 samples were taken from health personnel. Of these, 3,469 cases have been confirmed.

The Pablo Arturo Suárez Hospital, which handles cases with COVID-19, registers eight health workers infected with the virus.

Of these, three were infected by contact with patients who entered with a pre-existing disease, but without symptoms related to the coronavirus. While the rest would have acquired the virus, via community contagion.

With a cut to May 6, the Zonal Health Coordination 9 reported that 9,965 samples were taken from health personnel. Of these, 3,469 cases were confirmed. These represent 34.8%.

The majority of infected health workers are doctors, 2,125 confirmed: 780 nurses. Then there are 339 auxiliaries; 104 obstetricians; 67 dentists; and 53 psychologists.

According to the document, among the staff there are 24 deaths in total, the majority are doctors.

The number of cases discarded is greater than those confirmed, that is, there are 4 626 negative cases.
