Ecuador registers 44,440 positive cases and 3,720 people died with coronavirus

According to the Minister of Health, the situation in Quito and Guayaquil is controlled.

This Wednesday, June 10, 2020, according to figures from the Ministry of Health, 44,440 positive cases of coronavirus are registered in the country, 3,720 people died from this disease and 2,462 probable deaths from COVID-19.

In this way, since the last cut yesterday, 523 positive cases and 30 deaths increased.

The total number of patients recovered is 4,420, while 5,167 people have been discharged from hospital. Likewise, there are 59,532 discarded cases and 12,275 patients with epidemiological discharge.

The province most affected by the pandemic continues to be Guayas with a total of 14,507 infected; then, Pichincha with 4,898 and Manabí with 2,990 infected people.

In this context, the Minister of Health, Juan Carlos Zevallos, indicated that the situation, related to the coronavirus pandemic, in Quito and Guayaquil, is under control.

However, according to figures from the National COE, in the first week of June, 700 patients were hospitalized per day.
