In Cuba 87% of patients with Covid-19 have recovered

The country closed this Sunday with 17 new medical discharges, and for the fourth consecutive day no deaths were reported.

The national director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (Minsap), Dr. Francisco Durán, explained that, until Sunday, 17 new medical discharges were announced, for a total of 1965 (86.9 percent of diagnosed cases to Covid-19).

During the last day, a total of 2,486 samples were studied in the different Cuban laboratories, of which 14 were positive, 0.56 percent. In this way, the country maintains 211 active cases of Covid-19.

At the press conference it was also specified that in the last 15 days all cases have been registered in the provinces of Havana and Matanzas. The capital of the country reports in the period an incidence rate of positive cases of 8.43 per 100,000 inhabitants.
