The entity investigates an alleged crime of embezzlement for the acquisition of disinfectants.
This Thursday, June 4, personnel from the Prosecutor’s Office and the Judicial Police raided the offices of the Municipality of Guamote, in Chimborazo, to investigate alleged irregularities in the purchase of medical supplies due to the health emergency.
The Mayor’s Office, which is in charge of the singer Delfín Quishpe, is investigated under the guise of embezzlement for the acquisition of disinfectants.
As a result of the operation, the agents seized computers and documentation.
The raid, this Thursday, in the municipality of Guamote was one of the three actions that were carried out in the province. In April the Provincial Government of Chimborazo was intervened, and in May the Municipality of Colta.
On this case, Mayor Quishpe preferred not to rule and is only awaiting the results of the investigations by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Judicial Police.
