The State awaits the official figures from INEC to compile it.
There are 270,000 job terminations, according to the Ministry of Labor.
Minister Andrés Isch announced that this is the number of contracts that have been finalized, but that it is not a net figure because 90 thousand new contracts are also registered.
On a television channel Isch specified that taking these figures into account, the number of contracts completed would be 180,000.
He stressed that all these data are only those of formal jobs and that it would be necessary to add the informal ones.
Isch indicated that official figures from the Ecuadorian Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) are expected. This entity has pending the publication of the National Survey of Employment, Underemployment and Unemployment (Enemdu) since April, which could not be completed in the scheduled time due to quarantine, but the work has been resumed since last July 14.
The last cut made in December 2019 indicated that 3 146 297 people had an adequate job, 1 440 983 were underemployed, 884 617 remained in unpaid employment and 311 134 were unemployed.
