Brazil confirmed the first death of a 62-year-old man and registers more than 290 infected people
After giving negative results to the first coronavirus tests, the Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, underwent a second test to rule out or confirm the contagion. The president made this decision after doctors have recommended a second analysis.
The results of this second test will be known this Wednesday, March 18, however the 64-year-old president has not decided to suspend his activities nor has he placed himself in a preventive quarantine, as the Government itself has recommended through the Ministry of Health, for what they consider that Bolsonaro underestimates this pandemic.
According to Brazilian media, once the necessary samples were taken, the president went to the Planalto Presidential Palace to continue his usual activities.
Last Thursday, March 12, Bolsonaro underwent a COVID-19 test after the spread of this virus was confirmed in an official close to him.
In this context, this Tuesday, March 17, 2020, the first death of a 62-year-old man from the town of San Pablo was confirmed and more than 290 cases of contagion have been registered.
