Prosecutor and Police personnel raided the areas: administrative, financial and warehouses of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital in the city of Guaranda. There, an alleged price premium is being investigated in the acquisition of body covers, amid the health emergency due to the coronavirus.
During this week, the Prosecutor General’s Office coordinated several operations not only in health homes, but also in companies that supply medical supplies to investigate the alleged price premiums.
The entity investigates contractual processes not only in hospitals of the public health network, but also those belonging to the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS).
This Friday, April 8, the Prosecutor’s Office also carried out a raid on the Ambato Teaching Hospital, with the aim of collecting indications about an alleged acquisition of overalls, head covers and other supplies with an alleged price premium and a targeted recommendation for the acquisition.
