There is no service for sale of flights at Guayaquil airport

The terminal’s concessionaire asked citizens to use other means to obtain that information.

Information about flights and purchase of tickets at the Guayaquil airport are not allowed. The guards of the air terminal are in charge of monitoring that this measure is complied with.

Javier Silva must return to Spain in the next few days and went to the airport on Monday to request flight information. But one of the site guards prevented him from entering.

Tagsa, José Joaquín de Olmedo airport concessionaire, reported that airline services are not being developed in person at the air terminal, and therefore asked travelers to make inquiries through electronic means.

From Monday 1, commercial flights were authorized by the national Emergency Operations Committee (COE) at the country’s airports.

This June 3, the first international flight is scheduled to arrive at Guayaquil airport at 22:00. The Low Cost Spirit airline is in charge of that flight from Fort Lauderdale, United States.

National flights in the José Joaquín de Olmedo will be from June 15.

In this air terminal, adjustments have been made so that passengers respect social distancing and comply with biosecurity measures.

Six body temperature meters have been installed at the airport, both in the local and international arrivals and departures areas.

Travelers arriving from other countries that do perform PCR tests for COVID-19 must present the results of the samples.
