66% of Ecuadorian companies are planning to redesign their salary models in the next three years, according to a new study by Deloitte Consulting. This is due to the worldwide economic crisis caused by the coronavirus.
The companies indicate that, due to the new work modalities, other types of labor compensation and variable incentives could be taken into account, especially the sectors hardest hit by the pandemic.
Of the 184 organizations consulted in Ecuador, most agree that they will try to find a balance and optimize resources, so that they can become a salary system that recognizes the effort.
«Although there is a complex panorama, the compensations should not only be linked to having enormous resources, but also being resourceful in trying to have a benefit plan appreciated by people,» explained one of the consultant’s spokespersons.
On the other hand, the study also consulted on the changes that organizations will have to face in order to have less impact in the current circumstances.
53% of the respondents considered that it was important to change the design of the organization to incorporate a more agile and team work.
