Ecuador reports 1.033 new infections and 67 more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, the country has 105.508 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 9.809 deaths from the pandemic.
According to the Ministry of Health, there are 105.508 infected, of which 96.552 were confirmed with a PCR test and the rest with a rapid test. In addition, 6.200 people died with a positive prognosis and 3.609 deaths suspected of carrying the virus.
Regarding the situation of the infected hospitalized, 864 are stable and 331 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.195 patients hospitalized in one day. While 383 people were discharged from hospital.
Since the pandemic began, 73.616 patients have recovered. This group has been admitted to the surveillance system with at least one positive RT-PCR test, at least 29 days have passed since the date of onset of symptoms, and they are alive. The indicator is updated every Sunday.
Pichincha reports 264 new infections and 19 more deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, the province most affected by the pandemic in the country has 21.883 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Quito adds 244 new infected and the total number of infected rises to 19.794.
