Ecuador reports 741 new infections and 78 new deaths in the last 24 hours. In total, this August 25, 2020, the country has 109.030 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and passes 10.000 deaths due to this pandemic
According to the report of the Ministry of Health, there are 109.030 infected, of which 100.074 were confirmed with a PCR test. In addition, 6.368 people died with a positive prognosis. To this figure are added the 3.696 deaths that were probably due to the virus.
Regarding the situation of the infected hospitalized, 841 are stable and 386 with a reserved prognosis. In total, there are 1.227 patients hospitalized in one day, while 147 people were discharged from hospital.
Regarding the number of recovered patients, the government report indicates that there are 80.264 people who have recovered from the disease since the pandemic began. This indicator is updated every Sunday.
Pichincha reports 182 new infections and 10 more deaths in the last 24 hours. It is the province most affected by the pandemic in the country and has a total of 22.683 infected and 894 deaths. Quito registers 144 new infected and amounts to 20.498 cases in the Ecuadorian capital.
