Ecuador registers 110.092 confirmed cases and 10.576 deaths from Covid-19

The Ecuadorian Government reported a total of 109.784, confirmed cases of Covid-19. In the last 24 hours there has been an increase of 308 infected people and 10.576 people have died from the virus in Ecuador.

Of these deaths, according to the Government, the figure corresponds to the “sum of the deceased confirmed with a positive RT-PCR test plus the probable deaths that are people with symptoms, other laboratory tests or imaging related to Covid-19, without an RT-PCR test ‘.

The number of confirmed deaths in Pichincha has increased to 1.267 Guayas continues to be the province with the most deaths from the virus, with 3.290. They are followed by Manabí (1.746), Santa Elena (628), Los Ríos (507), El Oro (475), Tungurahua (437), Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas (429), Chimborazo (334), Esmeraldas (236) , Cotopaxi (250) and Loja (213).

As far as infections are concerned, the province of Pichincha, the most affected in the country, registers this Monday, September 7, a total of 25.080 cases. Guayas, the second province with the most cases in the country, registers 19.122 cases. It is followed by Manabí, which registers 8.804 and Azuay with 6.465 confirmed cases of Covid-19 until this Monday.

Galapagos is the only province in the country that has less than 1.000 confirmed cases of Covid-19, until this Monday, September 7, the island region reports 178 cases of coronavirus.

At the national level, confirmed cases correspond to 53.4% ​​men and 46.6% women.

Ecuador has ruled out 163.638 cases of Covid-19, 91.242 people have recovered from the disease, 16.258 people have been discharged from hospital, 884 remain hospitalized stable and 430 hospitalized with a reserved prognosis. (C.D.A.)
